'Brighton Monument, Morning Light'
 
I was quite struck by this view as I liked the way the light spilled over the buildings through the trees and leaving a rich shadow of the monument on the floor. I started this piece with a large blue wash covering most of the canvas and began rubbing areas away and then laying thicker brush strokes back over to initiate some detail.
