This painting is a celebration in the beautiful simplicity of a clear sunset here in Brighton. During winter the sun sets way out to sea and interacts with the water beautifully. On this evening the water was as still as you'll see it and so the suns reflection cast a thin beam across the surface of the water to the beach.
