'Swan in St James's Park'

The lake in St James's Park (London) has some beautiful wildlife, including of course the pelicans but lesser known a black swan (I've only ever seen it once and would love to paint it!). I was gifted a white swan on the day back in August passing slowly by which was exciting to paint as it contrasted strongly against the dark reflections of the foliage behind. However, the original inspiration for this piece was the elegant willow tree hanging down to the water's surface catching the sunlight beautifully.
